Postcard Salon Exhibit and Sale April 2010
Participate in the Art Center’s Postcard Salon Sale! It is a great way for the Art Center to showcase your work to the public and for everyone to benefit! You can work in any media--just so it is a 4" x 6" size!
All postcards submitted will be exhibited beginning Thursday, April 1st and continue through Thursday, April 8th in Gallery One of the Art Center. During this time period visitors can preview the artworks. On Thursday, April 8th a reception for the artists, Art Center members and the public will take place from 5-7 pm. The gallery will be cleared prior to the start of the sale. At 5:55 Art Center members will be given a five minute head-start to make their selections. For all other guests, the sale begins at 6:00 pm. All buyers are advised to remove their selections immediately from the walls.
All Postcard salon works will be priced at $20 each. No works may be reserved ahead of the sale and all buyers must pay for their selections at the event.
We invite you to submit up to five postcard size (4” by 6”) artworks for the sale. We prefer postcard with a depth not exceeding 2” from the back of the card. The artworks will be handled in the same way as our Gift/Gallery Shop sales are handled. The Art Center will receive a 35% commission on all sales, with 65% going to the artist. Postcards not purchased that evening will be included in our Gift/Gallery Shop inventory if space permits. There is no fee to be a part of this event—we only ask that you complete the form below and submit it to us along with your artwork no later than Saturday, March 27th at 5:00 pm. You can hand-deliver or mail in your work. The Art Center reserves the right to remove any work at its own discretion. Questions? Call 269-962-9511
